He mentioned that these super-sized verdicts are popping up all over the country, targeting a wide range of industries like never before.
What’s really catching everyone’s attention is the whopping 135 lawsuits that resulted in jury awards of $10 million or more last year. That’s a lot of cash being handed out! And get this, there were a staggering 49 cases that raked in more than $100 million in jury verdicts—talk about hitting the jackpot! Five of those cases even brought in verdicts exceeding a billion dollars. It’s like winning the lottery, but in a courtroom.
