So, like, apparently law schools are, you know, getting tons of applications this year. Like, a lot. Some schools are seeing, like, a 20% to 30% increase in applications. And get this, the Law School Admission Council says applications are up almost 23% compared to last year and a whopping 25.3% from two years ago. That’s a lot of applications, if you ask me.
New York Law School is, like, breaking records with a 31% increase in applications this year. Their deposits are, like, way more than the number of seats they have available. The president and dean, Anthony Crowell, seems pretty stoked about it, saying they have some really strong candidates this year.
On another note, the California Supreme Court, like, lowered the passing score for the February Bar Exam and, like, decided to go back to using the Multistate Exam in July. Seems like a big deal for all the aspiring lawyers out there, right?
In other news, some judge, like, stopped the Trump Administration from enforcing some order by Perkins Coie. Not really sure why this matters, but I guess it’s news. Oh, and there’s some attorney and law firm in trouble for defamation in some WWE lawsuit.
And hey, some law firm tried using a dragon logo in a filing. I mean, who does that? Seems like something out of a movie, not real life.
Anyway, that’s the latest scoop on what’s happening in the legal education world. Looks like it’s a pretty eventful time in the law field.
