us-attorney-orchestrated-facebook-posts-criticizing-judge-report-reveals

Yo, so like, this dude Edward R. Martin Jr., who’s like the acting U.S. attorney in Washington, D.C., used to help write Facebook posts dissing a judge who was presiding over a case where he was the defendant. ProPublica dug up some lawsuit docs that spilled the tea on this whole shady situation.

Apparently, this guy Martin, along with his buddy Priscilla Gray, started slamming this Illinois judge on Facebook back in 2016 after the judge ruled against Martin in a civil case. The posts were all like, calling the judge a “politician” and saying he had the “lowest rating for a judge in Illinois.” Martin even told Gray to keep calling the judge’s actions “unfair and rigged” and to slide into the judge’s DMs. Talk about drama.

The case was about kicking Martin out of some group called the Eagle Forum that he used to run. The one who filed the lawsuit was Anne Schlafly Cori, who’s like on the board of the Eagle Forum and is the daughter of the group’s founder. It’s like a soap opera, right?

So, like, the truth about Martin’s involvement in all this shady business only came out when Cori’s lawyers started digging around for evidence. And get this, President Donald Trump wants to keep Martin in the U.S. attorney position even though he’s got zero experience in prosecution. Like, what’s up with that?

Martin and Gray didn’t want to talk to ProPublica about the whole mess. But this dude Andy Schlafly, who used to be on the Eagle Forum board and is team Martin, was all like, “Gray can say whatever she wants, it’s her right to be mad.” He claims that Martin never got smacked by a court for his “First Amendment advocacy.” Whatever that means.

Anyway, just thought I’d share this juicy story with y’all. Like, not really sure why this matters, but it’s definitely got some drama. Maybe it’s just me, but I feel like this whole situation is a hot mess. Oh well, that’s the news for ya.

Bye for now!
