magistrate-judge-criticizes-law-firms-dragon-logo-on-legal-documents

So, like, there was this lawyer, right? And he thought it would be super cool to put a big purple dragon watermark on all the pages of a lawsuit he filed in federal court. But guess what? The judge was not having it. Nope. U.S. Magistrate Judge Ray Kent was like, “Um, excuse me, but this is a court, not a cartoon strip. Get rid of that dragon logo, dude.”

The lawyer, Jacob A. Perrone from the Dragon Lawyers law firm in Michigan, said he always uses watermarks, but maybe not as in-your-face as this one. He bought the dragon logo online for 20 bucks to promote his new firm. Perrone wanted his pleadings to stand out, but the judge was like, “Nah, bro, this ain’t the place for dragons in suits.”

Perrone said he’ll follow the court’s order and remove the watermark. He admitted he shouldn’t have made it so prominent. Well, lesson learned, I guess. Next time, maybe stick to a more traditional approach, dude. Just saying.
