Since September 2019, the firm is based in Glasgow at 1 West Regent Street. It has served clients and built a strong pipeline from a small “agile working hub”.

Barry McKeownShoosmiths’ Glasgow partner, Jeremy, said: “Shoosmiths’ decision in Glasgow to expand its presence with office space at The Garment Factory is a direct consequence of the significant upturn of business we have achieved in the west since opening a small hub 18 months ago in the city center.

It’s a positive step that reflects the feedback received from our existing clients in the west, who have highlighted the benefits to establishing a larger and more permanent presence within the rapidly changing landscape of Scotland’s biggest city. We know that there is a large pool of legal talent in Glasgow who can serve clients throughout the UK and Scotland. Shoosmiths is an ideal place to work due to the quality of work, people, and culture.

Janette SpeedShoosmiths’ Scotland head added that “We have a clear view of where we want it to go in Glasgow, building upon the excellent reputation of the firm throughout Scotland and the wider UK.” We intend to increase our market share in Scotland, and elsewhere, and build on the solid foundations we have established in the capital.
