Mr Smith is an employment lawyer specialist for over 20 years. He joins us fromPinsent Masons. His vast experience includes advising both public and private sector employers. He is responsible for a wide range of employment work, including internal investigations and matters involving employment tribunals.

His practice focuses on the energy sector. Mr Smith advises oil and gas clients, as well as nuclear and renewables clients, about employment issues related to transitioning to net zero.

Eversheds Sutherland stated that Mr Smith’s appointment was a strategic and significant investment in the company’s employment and energy sector capabilities in Scotland. It also increases the team’s ability and depth to handle complex matters and mandates at an international level. He also increases the team’s credibility in the local market, which will help the team grow in Edinburgh.
